Maka does not like anything that is going on right now. Not at all. She'd been having a very lovely vacation with Soul - impromptu for both of them, but it had been deemed absolutely necessary in her mind. Too much stress lately and too many things to cope with. Crona is not the only one to need to say 'I can't deal with this' sometimes.

Maka had been feeling a blowout approaching in her head and she knew Soul had been even closer to it, so she grabbed him and ran off to London. And it had been great so far! Well, almost so far. Because they'd just been arguing their heads off on the internet. Because it's easier to type into a phone than talk to someone who's nearby.

That's just the MO sometimes. But today Maka could not take it and it got pretty bad, so she ran off. Well, kind of. If 'locking oneself in a hotel room's bathroom' counts as running off. Because that's what she's done. She even flung the phone off while doing it, because her brain said "if I don't have access to the plurk, we can't fight anymore."

That doesn't really work if you're in the same place anyway. She can't block voice by flinging a phone. She can't stop him from following just by locking a door. All Maka can do is sit in there and ignore him, back against the door as she tries not to cry.

Because cool girls just don't cry.

If there's a place known as the Bar At The End Of The Universe, Maka doesn't exactly believe in it. While obviously there are many true things that sound like a spectacle to consider, she's never given much thought to this one.

Until now.

She's been hearing talk about it and she's heard it mentioned from people she trusts. Not that anyone would talk to Maka about it, mind you. No, that would be too easy, but she understands. Honestly, she does. Why would you want to share a story that makes you look insane, especially in this day and age? No, it could not really be afforded, so she leaves it alone.

Of course, part of the truth is that she doesn't want to press an insane story with people she would rather not think of as insane, perhaps more than they would worry about it themselves. Like Soul. She knows his insanity first hand, and she never wants to see it stick around.

So, Milliways. Bar At The End Of The Universe. What purpose does it have, other than the inevitable? Where does it show up and why? How does one even get there, can they even try?

Maka is attempting to use books in the library to find information on this. How successful she will be will remain to be seen, but she is doggedly determined about searching the stacks for books that look even slightly fitting. It's as if she is building a stack of her own.

Oh dear.

Maka was out far too late at the bookstore, today! She could not help it, really, an amazing amount of good books had come in, and it had taken far too long to make her choices. But at only an hour late, it's still passable. She only hopes that all of dinner is not taken, and that she can manage to have a bite or two!

Well, there may be food left for her in the kitchen, but the dishes are also all left dirty - when it was Soul's turn to do them. She huffs in annoyance and considers which of her new books has the strongest spine, before heading towards his room. "SOUL!" Maka scolds, before even opening the door. "You can't just leave me your chores, you -- "

She hadn't bothered to knock before opening the door. Whyever would she think to do that? But she should have, clearly, as Crona and Soul are both in there, and they're -

They're -
